Position Title: Supply Educator

General Responsibilities:
Qualified applicants will be responsible for providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment; as well as showing sensitivity to the individual developmental needs of the child. They will also be responsible for planning and maintaining the highest quality experience for their children that is age appropriate to enhance children’s development, while ensuring the philosophy of the program is upheld. They will be responsible to build relationships, effectively communicate, engage and encourage their children in a fun environment. They will be ever mindful of our best practice guidelines (including ratio and scheduling) and lead by example.
Main Duties Will Include:
Planning, developing and implementing programs of stimulating activities which promote the physical, social emotional and intellectual well-being of the children.
Supervising children within the program both indoors and outdoors.
Serving the children snacks and lunch.
Responsible for record keeping (i.e. attendance logs, etc.).
Maintain a safe and engaging environment.
On-going communication with parents/guardians.
Participate in monthly staff meetings and agency meetings as required.
Report to the childcare supervisor.

Creative Beginnings Early Learning and Care (CBELC) is a not-for-profit childcare organization providing high-quality early learning programs in Waterloo Region. We are dedicated to supporting families, children, and staff through excellence in care, education, and organizational operations.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Extended Day Supervisor is an integral part of the senior leadership team and is tasked with ensuring that all children receive exceptional care. The Extended Day Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the extended day program and camps, ensuring compliance with all government regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Developing a positive workplace environment as well as leading, mentoring, and supervising staff are key tasks in this role. As an advocate for Creative Beginnings Childcare Centres, the Extended Day Supervisor is responsible for developing positive relationships with parents, coworkers, and community partners.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
ECE designation and a member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an early childhood environment
Extensive knowledge of Government regulations such as the CCEYA
Extensive knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?
Leadership experience, preferably in an early childhood education setting
Demonstrated leadership skills, including professionalism and integrity; the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others; and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent public relations skills, able to develop positive relationships with parents, co-workers, and community partners
Strong organizational and time management skills
Standard First Aid and CPR certification
A clear Vulnerable Sector police check (Ontario)

The Role
The Executive Assistant (EA) works in close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, providing high-level executive, administrative, and operational support. This is a trusted and integral role that supports leadership work impacting staff, families, governance, and the future of the organization.
This is not a traditional “task-only” administrative role. It is a position for someone who is thoughtful, proactive, highly organized, and able to anticipate needs while managing multiple priorities with care and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
Executive & Administrative Support
Provide comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the CEO
Manage a complex calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate priorities
Prepare agendas, briefing materials, reports, presentations, and correspondence
Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
Governance & Leadership Support
Support Board of Directors and committee work, including meeting coordination and document preparation
Track action items, deadlines, and key governance priorities
Assist with executive planning and organizational accountability processes
Project & Operations Coordination
Support special projects, organizational initiatives, and expansion-related work
Track timelines, deliverables, and milestones across multiple priorities
Coordinate with internal leaders, consultants, and external partners
Communication & Relationship Support
Serve as a professional, welcoming point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
